It’s not really the way you thought you would get the news about Supremacy, but earlier today, the Twitter account of Riot’s President Marc Merrill (@MarcMerrill) was hacked and information about League of Legends: Supremacy, supposedly a card game, was spread across the internet.
As of this writing, Merrill has regained control of his Twitter account, but not before the hacker “Jason” leaked artwork and published tweets about Supremacy.
(Picture one) above, is an image of the placeholder login page that was posted by “Jason”.
The Twitter hack started off with a tweet.
“Well, I think this would be a good time to show off Riot’s card game, who wants to see pictures? 50 re-tweets for pictures.”
10 minutes later: Another message by “Jason”.
“100 Re-tweets for another picture.”
Jason claimed to have more than just screen shots.
“It’s a standalone game. I have the server and client source.”
Development of the Supremacy game is apparently complete.
“Did i mention this game was fully completed, but never released? Riot doesn’t want you to play this game. Take it up with them”
“Jason” also posted imgur galleries of the deck’s card templates and text icons.
Merrill eventually regained control of his account and tried to do damage control on his Twitter page.
From the little that can be gathered, Supremacy sounds like the digital collectible card game from Blizzard Entertainment called Hearthstone.
More to follow soon.
